MARULE LIME - THE BUSINESS

Marule Lime is owned and operated by Kevin Scarlett. You’ll find Marule Lime in the State Forest at Booyal. Kevin’s mining lease was granted in 1989 and Marule Lime has been supplying Ag-Lime since 1990.

Marule Lime blasts and extracts the limestone rock - pulverizing the limestone rock to make agricultural lime from a deposit approximately 1 million tonnes in size

Marule Lime supplies and spreads Ag-Lime to Wide Bay and is the only INDEPENDENT Producer of AG-Lime in the Wide Bay.

MARULE LIME PRICING STRUCTURE AND ETHICS

A) Pricing

There are two parts to the price of Marule AG-Lime

  • Supply of Ag-Lime - at the mine site per tonne, this is the same for those who want spreading and those who pick up lime to spread themselves
  • Spreading based on how far from the mine site and the rate at which you require it to be spread. The lighter the rate and the further from the mine site, the more expensive it becomes per tonne.

B) Ethics

We do not pay commissions to any third parties to promote or encourage the sale of our lime i.e. we do not make any form of payment to agronomists to promote our products.

Discounts

We do offer a discount but it is only available for early payment of account.
There are no quantity discounts available as that discriminates against smaller businesses/farming enterprises.
