This blog is about trying to get contracts for supply of Ag-Lime into projects and the lack of true competition in Australia
Thinking of planting a crop, or a paddock of pasture, or maybe you are just not getting the results from what you are applying....Soil Testing is the answer....Independent Soil Testing.
Soil pH and acidity have a direct effect on crop yield, making soil analysis and lime replacement a priority for improved farm performance.
Why do you need to know the difference between Ag-Lime, Burnt Lime ( Quick Lime) and Hydrated Lime ? Because Burnt Lime has hidden dangers for agriculture. Its about the Lime Cycle
Is the pH of your soil allowing the plants to access all of the nutrients that you are adding or are you wasting your money ?
Soil Conditioners are products (most often naturally occurring) added to the soil to improve the soil structure.
